Valve Testing, O'Hara Room
Throughout the day, forum member Nathan (The Bish) will be offering a valve testing service, with proceeds to the show charity
Nathan says... For power valves I can test the following types: 6L6, 5881, EL34, 6V6, 6550, 6CA7, 7581, KT88, KT90, KT100, KT120, KT150, EL84, 6BQ5, 300B, and for preamp valves I can test 12AX7, 12AU7, 12AT7, 12AY7, 12DW7, 12BH7, ECC81, ECC82, ECC83, 7025, 5751, 5814, and all other valves with 9A base, plus 6DJ8, 6922, 6N1P, ECC88, 6AQ8, 6BQ7, 6BZ7, 6GM8, 6CG7, 6FQ7, ECC85, ECC86, 6SL7, 6SN7.
For preamp valves, you’ll be able to listen to the valve noise through a speaker and check for microphonics. These testers are very quick and each valve test takes just a few seconds.
There will also be a variety of power and small signal valves for sale, and some interesting valve caddies, all at low prices.
